'The needs of an Olympic athlete and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. One is looking for functional dominance, the other for functional competence. Competence and dominance manifest through identical physiological mechanisms'
Greg Glassman- What is Fitness.
Fitness in 100 Words
Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.
Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, clean and jerk, and snatch. Similarly master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row etc, hard and fast.
Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense.
Regularly learn and play new sports.

Iv been to a taster session and have now had a few 1to1 sessions with Michael which I can’t wait to attend, he always sets goals that you think is difficult to achieve on every sessions. He always pushes you on to finish well, he has a wealth of great knowledge in CrossFit, warm up exercises, and also finds a way to over come steps on certain injuries. He never fails to achieve, so what ever level Michael will tailor your sessions, I totally recommend his services and will attend sessions at CrossFit moray Services. Keep up the good work and good luck for the future. Michael and Luba 👍👍👍
